Orders, Returns & Cancellations

  • Damage or discrepancies: Must be reported within 5 business days of delivery.

  • Returns: Stock products may be returned within 30 days and are subject to a 20% restocking fee plus freight. No partial pallets or returns after 30 days.

  • Building Products Retaining Wall: Returns are subject to a 40% restocking fee plus freight. No partial pallets or returns after 30 days.

  • Special orders & non-stock materials: Require a 50% non-refundable deposit prior to ordering and fabrication and are not eligible for return.

  • Order changes: Load changes must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. the day prior to shipment.

  • Pallet quantities: Products are shipped in full-pallet quantities only. Products may be mixed to qualify for full-load pricing.

Orders Ready for Pickup or Delivery

Once an order is ready for pickup or delivery, the customer has 30 days to accept the material or schedule delivery. This applies whether Semco Stone arranges the freight or the customer handles transportation.

If Semco Stone is arranging delivery and a carrier cannot be secured within the 30-day period, the customer will not be held responsible for the delay, provided the customer agrees to a reasonable market-rate freight option provided by Semco Stone.

Order readiness is tracked according to the estimated completion date (ETA) listed on the order:

  • If an order is completed before its estimated completion date, the 30-day period begins on the listed ETA.

  • If an order is completed after its estimated completion date, the 30-day period begins when the material is ready for pickup or shipment.

Orders Remaining After 30 Days

If an order remains ready and has not been picked up or scheduled for delivery after 30 days:

  • A 50% deposit of the order value is required to continue holding the material.

  • Without the required deposit, the order will be cancelled, and the material may be made available to other customers.

  • Once the order has been cancelled, a new order must be placed and will be subject to current pricing and availability/ETA.

Cancellation After a 50% Deposit

If an order is cancelled after the 50% holding deposit has been received, half of the deposit (25% of the total order value) will be refunded. The remaining 25% of the order value will be retained as a restocking fee in accordance with standard return practices.

Freight & Delivery

  • Freight: Contact Semco Stone for current freight rates. Additional freight charges may apply to specified products.

  • Jobsite delivery: $60 includes up to one hour of forklift and driver time. Each additional 30 minutes is $60.

  • Pallet covers: $2 each.

  • Fuel surcharges: Loads may be subject to fuel surcharges due to fluctuations in fuel costs.

  • Discounts: Discounts do not apply to trucking or palletizing charges.

Payment & Credit Terms

  • Payment options: Cash, check, ACH, money order, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa, or CHAX (check payments by email or fax software). Contact us for details on ACH and CHAX.

  • Credit terms: Submit a completed Credit Application. Approved accounts will be extended credit terms. Past-due invoices are subject to a 1.5% monthly service charge (18% APR).

  • Accounts 60 days or more past due may be placed on COD terms and/or have deliveries suspended.

  • Tax exemptions: Valid tax exemption certificates must be on file; otherwise, applicable taxes will be charged.

  • 3% surcharge will be added to all credit card payments made to Semco Stone.

Natural Stone Characteristics

Natural stone is a natural product, and variations in color, texture, size, quantity, and bed-face characteristics are expected. Stone may contain natural cracks, pits, mineral variations, and other imperfections resulting from the quarrying process.

Samples, photographs, printed materials, and website images may vary from the actual stone received. Variations may also occur between individual pieces and shipments. These unique characteristics are part of the beauty of natural stone.

Semco Building Stone and Landscape Stone are provided as-is without warranty of any kind, except where a specific manufacturer’s warranty applies.

Warranties

Products covered by a manufacturer’s warranty must be returned with a copy of the original invoice. Warranty terms vary by product. Contact Semco Stone for specific warranty information and return instructions.

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Pricing does not include templates, patterns, or engineering unless otherwise indicated.

  • Additional charges may apply for freight, fuel, palletizing, jobsite delivery, templates, patterns, or engineering.
